Imatra city library offers experiences, knowledge and learning for a growing number of clients. You can find newspapers, magazines, books, cassettes, CDs, CD-ROMs, DVDs and other new material in the collections. Information about the collections is accessible through the Internet at http://priima.imatra.fi. The Priima-database is shared with the municipal libraries of Joutseno, Puumala and Ruokolahti.
There are various opportunities for independent studying, using the Internet, listening to music or conducting genealogy research. We organize exhibitions, fairytale hours for children and other events for people of different ages. The special collection on semiotics, regional collection and Hilja Valtonen room (well-known Finnish author) are interesting to see and learn about.
